Some of my favorite drawings are those doodled by my favorite poet: Federico Garcia Lorca. They aren’t masterpieces, but they split the brilliance of his creativity through a different prism. They’re beautiful, to me.
And if you’re a David Lynch fan, you can have a similar experience. A book is coming out that features his attacks upon post-it notes and scraps of paper. And since Lynch is a prolific and diverse artist, you could perhaps suspect that the grade of his work surpasses that of my beloved Andalusian.
