Some Celestial Hugging

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Look for a lovely celestial hugging Tuesday night between the waxing gibbous moon and the bright planet Jupiter.

As soon as it’s dark enough look in the southeast sky and you’ll see Jupiter just to the lower right of moon. With a pair of binoculars or a small telescope you should be able see Jupiter’s moons that look like tiny little stars either side of Jupiter.

You might even see some of Jupiter’s brighter cloud bands. Jupiter’s about 500 million miles away tonight.
