MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Three adults and two children were able to escape an overnight fire in Minneapolis.
Fire Chief Cherie Penn said the call came in around 2:30 a.m. for a fire at 2829 Stevens Ave. S.
When fire crews arrived on scene, they found the fire started in the basement and spread to the first floor. The residents were able to escape without injuries.
The Red Cross is assisting three adults and two children with housing and basic needs.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
