MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Bullying is becoming an increasingly bigger problem in schools across Minnesota and the country.
Jamie Nabozny grew up in Wisconsin; he’s featured in the film “Bullied.”
He said he was bullied as a kid for being gay and it eventually escalated to a beating that landed him in the hospital.
On Saturday night, Nabozny led a discussion with the group World Citizen, a St. Paul-based group that works with kids to create solutions for bullying violence.
During the discussion, he put questions to his audience, such as: “How many of you have heard someone say ‘That’s so gay’ in the last week?”
