MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 39-year-old man from Osceola, Wis., was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Friday night for allegedly driving under the influence with a child inside his vehicle.
Authorities said Anthony Wayne Karis was stopped at about 8:32 p.m. Friday in Polk County, Wis. He was pulled over for weaving in and out of lanes and an equipment violation. An officer noticed signs of intoxication from Karis and administered field sobriety tests, which he subsequently failed.
Karis was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with an 11-year-old child inside the car. It was not known if Karis was given a preliminary breath test or what the result of that test might was.
The incident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
