It’s hard to remember that we warmed to 52 degrees the day after Christmas. Many forget that we also hit 52 degrees on Jan. 10 this year. And many will be glad to hear we take a run at 52 (or warmer) on Tuesday.
Parts of southern Minnesota could approach 60. The one thing holding the Twin Cities back is the snow we need to melt. It will reflect much of the sun’s energy, and it will cut down on the warming as the energy is spent melting snow.
Fog could be an issue the next several mornings if the wind stays light enough. If you are an early riser, expect reduced visibility in the typical areas. The cold front swings through early on Wednesday, which could trigger a few showers or flurries. It will also usher in cooler air with winds blowing from the northwest.
