WCCO’s Sid Hartman Interviews Gophers Coach Jerry Kill On Death Of Joe Paterno

He urges people not to forget Paterno’s accomplishments during his 61 years with the Nittany Lions. He says Paterno coached more than 100 players per year, so think about how many lives he touched and how many good things he did. He says coaching for 60 years in one place just won’t ever happen again.

Kill says he never got to coach a team against Paterno, but he did get to sit next to him at a meeting and have his picture taken with Paterno. He says that’s something he’ll never forget.
