MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A bicyclist was hit and killed by a snow plow early Sunday morning.
Anoka County Dispatch said the bicyclist was hit by a private snow plow driver on the 4700 block of East River Road, just before 7 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities say it was very dark outside and the biker didn’t have any lights on their bike. The plow was driving in the left lane, going south on East River Road. The biker was going north in the same lane.
The plow driver and biker then collided and the biker died at the scene.
Crews on scene say the medical examiner is on scene and officials are reconstructing the accident.
Authorities say the person may have been on a bicycle when the accident occurred but that is not confirmed.
