BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) — Bemidji State goalie Andrew Walsh had 27 saves to notch his second straight shutout, a 5-0 win over Alabama-Huntsville in men’s college hockey on Saturday.
Walsh had a game-high 12 saves in the third period for the Beavers (9-9-2), who won Friday’s series opener 3-0 over the Chargers (1-19-1). Walsh made 20 saves in that game.
Brad Hunt, Brady Wacker and Danny Mattson had a goal and an assist apiece for Bemidji State, which had just a 28-27 edge in shots on goal.
Aaron McLeod and Radoslav Illo added goals. The Beavers were 3-for-5 on the power play.
Clarke Saunders started in goal and made 10 saves for the Chargers. He was replaced in the second period by John Griggs, who made 13 saves.
